Tap is great for both mental and physical fitness. Most importantly, anyone can learn to do it and have an enjoyable time practicing it.
Adult classes are open to students of all ages, sizes and capabilities. Classes begin with a warm-up followed by some technique exercises to teach students the techniques of the trade. They then dance in original choreography to beats (or the ‘cappella’ to make it slightly more primitive) as well as traditional tap tunes like The Shim-Sham-Shimmy.

Miss Caroline has been teaching, tapping, and choreographing for more than 20 years. Her career in dance began by performing in the rhyming stunning show Stomp! in 1993 for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Recently, she taught the comedian Alan Brough to tap-dance, and choreographed his tap solo for the final performance of Spicks as well as the Specks Live show. Tap dancing has also been featured in songs written by artists Mick Thomas (Tom Wills) and Mrs Wainwright (I Will Breathe Again). She has also choreographed, and performed at fundraising events in support of Emily’s List and The Melbourne Marching Girls along with weddings, private events and shows, including cabaret shows. Miss Caroline has a Bachelor Degree in Creative Arts and has also performed in Melbourne as a vocalist and actor. She has taught a lot of Melbourne residents (big and small) the joys of tap-dancing.
Miss Caroline also offers Legs-11, an aerobics class for women who are older who are in Big Bang studios in Northcote on Thursdays at 10 am.
